2021 will rival the 2016 boom year, according to the B.C. Real Estate Association! Vancouver prices made headlines all over the world for their massive increase in 2016. We have historically high demand, coupled with near historically low supply. This is changing the face of the market drastically as we are seeing buyers and sellers operating in a frenzied way.
Homebuyer competition intensifies across Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley's housing market. REBGV Chair, Colette Gerber said, "The supply of listings for sale isn't keeping up with the demand we're seeing." We can see more and more people have been moving to the Fraser Valley as people are able to work from home. With multiple offers situations and high demand, it is important to develop strategies to meet your needs.

The MLS® Home Price Index composite benchmark price for all residential properties in Metro Vancouver is currently $1,084,000. This represents a 6.8% increase over February 2020 and a 2.6% increase compared to January 2021. The prices are continuously increasing.
