It's so easy to get caught up in our day-to-day activities, work, responsibilities, stresses, and anxieties that we forget to take time to pause and reflect. As we are still under strict restrictions, remember that it's okay to take a break. Take deep breaths, do something for yourself.


Market Trend - February 2021 Highlights


2021 has proven to be a very fast and moving marketplace, with near-record demand and multiple offers! It can be challenging for buyers, but exciting for sellers. We are witnessing sale prices over asking!


2021 will rival the 2016 boom year, according to the B.C. Real Estate Association! Vancouver prices made headlines all over the world for their massive increase in 2016. The market is so hot right now! So, if you are in the market and looking to sell or thinking about getting a new place you need to be aware of what is going on. We have historically high demand, coupled with near historically low supply. This is changing the face of the market drastically as we are seeing buyers and sellers operating in a frenzied way.


Homebuyer competition intensifies across Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley's housing market. REBGV Chair, Colette Gerber said, "The supply of listings for sale isn't keeping up with the demand we're seeing." We can see more and more people have been moving to the Fraser Valley as people are able to work from home. With multiple offers situations and high demand, it is important to develop strategies to meet your needs.



The MLS® HPI, which is a measure of real estate prices that provides a clearer picture of market trends over traditional tools such as mean or median average prices.The trend of prices has consistently been increasing.

The MLS® Home Price Index composite benchmark price for all residential properties in Metro Vancouver is currently $1,084,000. This represents a 6.8% increase over February 2020 and a 2.6% increase compared to January 2021. The prices are continuously increasing.
