Wow, we are halfway through the year already! If you've been going non-stop, it's totally okay to take a break. You need it! This is a good reminder for me because I always want to keep going and going. As some people know me, they know I'm like an energizer bunny. but even energizer bunnies need to recharge. Please take time to recharge.

Market Trend - June 2020 Highlights

Homebuyers and sellers have gradually become more active in each month of the COVID-19 pandemic. This past month's home sale and listing activity in Metro Vancouver has returned to more historically typical levels.

The REBGV’s Chair Colette Gerber explained that "REALTORS® continue to optimize new technology tools and practices to help their clients meet their housing needs in a safe and responsible way." More and more real estate transactions are happening virtually before going for an in-person showing.

Median Prices

ESTIMATED MEDIAN PRICE OF A BENCHMARK PROPERTY

The MLS® HPI is a more stable price indicator than average prices, because it tracks changes of "middle-of-the-range" or "typical" homes and excludes the extreme high-end and low-end properties.

Typical homes are defined by the various quantitative property attributes (e.g. above ground living area in square feet) and qualitative housing features (e.g. proximity to shopping, schools, transportation, hospitals etc.) toward the home price of properties sold in Greater Vancouver communities.

In June, home prices have remained steady with a minimal fluctuation over the last few months. There has been an increased demand where REALTORS® have been seeing multiple offers for homes that are priced competitively! Contact me if you want to know how much your home is worth!
