Buying a house with 100% cash is the fastest way to do it! But who has that kind of money??? 😳 Normally the mortgage takes the longest time to get approved so here are some things you can do to speed up the process:
1. Get Preapproved for a Mortgage
This gives you a head start because it shows the seller you’ve seen a mortgage broker and have confirmed that you can afford a house in their range.
2. Gather Important Paperwork
If you’ve been preapproved by a mortgage broker, you will have your paperwork, such as pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, etc. BUT, keep them close because you’ll need them again during the mortgage application process.
3. Find a Good Real Estate Agent
This is really important – especially if you are a first-time homebuyer. Finding a good and trusted real estate agent is crucial. I’ll be your go-to lifeline to help you find a home, view it, and make an offer, and also guide you through inspections, walk-throughs and closing day. I’ll answer all of your questions in between!
4. Have Your Closing Funds Ready
Make sure you can easily access your bank account to move your money for closing costs.
